Shoulder Arthroscopy

If you have a shoulder problem, a surgical procedure which is called arthroscopy can help. This procedure allows your surgeon to examine and treat problems in your shoulder.

Your orthopaedic evaluation may include an x-ray or an MRI to help your doctor determine the cause of your shoulder problem. Arthroscopy allows your doctor to see and work inside your shoulder joint through small incisions. Because arthroscopy uses much smaller incisions, recovery is often shorter and less painful than recovery after open surgery.
